Liposuction resultsLiposuction results can sometimes be seen almost immediately after the procedure, but the final liposuction results take longer to appear. In fact, tissue swelling and tumescent fluid mask the changes, and clothes may be even be tighter (or seem tighter due to tenderness in the area) for several days following liposuction. Commonly, there is a noticeable difference immediately after liposuction surgery, but then swelling masks most of the changes for a few weeks. Most patients notice significant liposuction results within a month or so, but occasionally a patient who ultimately gets excellent results will show very little change even at 6 months. Each patient heals differently following liposuction, and it is difficult to predict in any one person how fast the liposuction results will appear. How fast your liposuction results appear is also site-dependent. The areas higher on the body (neck/chin, chest) usually show liposuction results much more quickly. Always keep in mind that your final liposuction results may not be seen until 6-12 months after the liposuction procedure.
