Hi! Dr. Melton, Thank you for my phone calls after my surgery. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to get back to you right away. Anyway, I am very pleased to tell you that I am doing well. Actually, I have been doing well since the day of my surgery (Friday). I am very surprised that contrary to what I was expecting, the pain was very tolerable. I even got to eat at Baisi Thai (not spicy) right after surgery, and then did some holiday shopping the same day and the day after, before my flight back home on Sunday. I even took the L around downtown Chicago during my short stay here. People ask me whether I would do it again. And I tell them-anytime! The procedure was not only very safe and reassuring (we were chatting all the time, remember?), but the peri-operative pain was also not bad at all. Best of all, I look and feel leaner.
