Liposuction Comments from Dr. Melton's patients:
I have been dieting and exercising for years, and there have just been areas (my stomach, my buttocks and my hips) that were not getting any smaller, no
matter what I did. I just didn't like the way that my body looked.
I did not personally spend time looking into or researching liposuction. My husband did though. And so he had all of the information, he had checked out a bunch of doctors. And he is a physician as
well. And based on his recommendation, and his results, I was very comfortable coming here.
Local anesthetic was very important to me, because I thought the recovery time would be a lot quicker, and it wouldn't be so demanding on my body and I would be back to normal in a relatively short period.
The consultation was fine. They took pictures, and identified all the areas that I wanted to worked on. And my husband had already been through all this, so I had experience as to what was involved.
The staff were excellent, as was Dr. Melton. They explained everything that was going to be done. They were very supportive during the procedure, and were constantly monitoring if I was in pain or
anything like that, which was extremely rare. And the follow up afterwards was also very good.
I ended up taking two days off. I had the procedure on Friday, and Friday night I really didn't feel too good. I was weak, and I was nauseous, and so I spent most of my time in bed with my feet up.
By Saturday I was feeling a little bit better, I was able to walk around the house, but mostly I laid around. Sunday I was eating again and getting back to normal. By Monday, I was pretty much back to
normal.
It has worked excellently. And it has only been 5 weeks since my procedure, and I have already seen results. My outer hips have definitely gotten smaller, my waist has gotten thinner. I am in a size
smaller already and my butt is not as big as it used to be. I have a lot more self-confidence now. And I can wear smaller clothes.
I was back at work, and I hadn't been there for a few weeks and everyone was commenting: 'are you still dieting?', 'are you still exercising?' – 'you look fabulous!' – 'what are you doing?' Of course I didn't
tell them. But I said thank you for the compliments!
