Dr. Melton performs Mohs surgery in the Chicago area - in Chicago at the outpatient facility at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and in the western suburbs in Oak Brook.

Dr.  Melton founded the Mohs Surgery Unit at Loyola University of Chicago in 1991. He continued performing Mohs surgery as faculty at Loyola University until 1998, at  which time he resurrected the then dormant Mohs surgery unit at University of Illinois at Chicago. At that time he also opened his private practice in Oak  Brook, Illinois, in the western suburbs.  Dr. Melton currently performs Mohs surgery in Chicago at UIC, and also in Oak Brook.

Dr. Melton is a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon, and is a Fellow of the ACMS, the American College of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Melton has performed thousands of Mohs procedures and reconstruction procedures following Mohs Surgery.
