The fat is gently removed by suction. Due to the tumescent technique far less bleeding occurs. The fat in the suction tubing can be seen here to be yellow and virtually free of blood. Because the tumescent liposuction surgery technique is less traumatic to the fatty tissues and blood vessels, recovery from liposuction is far more rapid.
